Stumptown Comics Fest.... was one of the first shows we ever did as a company when we first moved to Oregon in 2005. Back then it was in it's 2nd or 3rd year and it was held in a branch of PSU and it was tiny kinda cramped BUT fantastic. easy to set up in, affordable to buy a table that came with tickets, really affordable to attended and just lots of crazy talented and nice folks. It was one of the best shows we ever did. I liked it small and intimate. I miss those days but I have to understand that it's growing in popularity so you gotta adapt.
Yesterday was fun, met a lot of new artists, ran into people I met earlier in the year and got to say hello to again, got to hear Stan Sakai talk about Usagi-San and had a great chat with Laura Allred about coloring and art. If you've never attended a comic book convention I very much suggest that you do at least once in your life.
Today is a bit up in the air if we are going back, work and deadlines have got me and I will know by noon if we are going back or not. I'd like to shake a few more hands and check out a few more panels but I can't skirt my work schedule.
Wishing you all a great weekend, take care and I'll post up pictures by tonight/tomorrow here!!!
